SM☆SH and Secret get in today's Oricon Charts

Kpop's been heavily present in the Japanese music charts for the past couple of months. With SHINee and others crowding the charts for June, and multiple artists revealing new singles and music every week, it isn't a surprise that another set of Korean artists managed to get into the Oricon Daily charts for today.

Boy group Smash finally released their 4th single "Bounce★up"today, and managed to get to the 8th place on today's charts. But this release won't be the only one for the group this month, seeing as they will be releasing their first ever full length Japanese album on August 24th, titled "AIR SM☆SH 1."

Girl group Secret had their long-awaited debut into the Japanese music scene with their first single "Madonna", a Japanese version of their Korean release. The group first went to Japan for their Japanese showcase and performed the new version of their song as well as other covers and Korean hits. "Madonna" charted on 9th place!

For the Oricon Weekly charts it seems as though only one Korean artist was present in the top 10, seeing as FT Islandmanaged to sell 33418 units of their latest single "Let it Go!" and made it to a safe 4th place with their latest release. TVXQ's "Superstar" charted in 12th position with another 13320 copies of their latest single sold. KARA's "Go Go Summer!" managed to stay into the Oricon charts for more than a month after its release, as they're still present in the weekly charts on the 15th place.

Next week will see another resurgence of Kpop groups in Japan as Supernova will be releasing their newest singles "Meki Love" and "Kimidake wa Hanasanai" on August 10th.
